Genre: Adult Contemporary Jazz
Resident: USA, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Instruments: Earl Rice (keyboards/Synths/Piano), Henry Mixon
(Bass Guitar), Deandre Woods (Drums)
The current three piece band, BlendJazz, was re-organized by
these three original members of the former band called Blend, which released
its first cd project in February 2010. From that cd, entitled Take It Back, the
instrumental track "Lost Without You" was first aired in Europe
(Austria) on JazzNet247.
The group BlendJazz returned with its CD project entitled
EVOLUTION in August 2012. With the transformation of the group's make up from a
four (4) to three (3) piece band, there was also a change in music style,
taking on more of a smooth, jazzy adult contemporary vibe. Their next CD,
entitled NOT THE SAME, released April 2015, expands that vibe and and brings
the best of all elements of music together into one package. NOW, BlendJazz is
releasing NEW CD....MUSIC DO WHAT IT DO..... in April 2016!! Available at ♫
