REPRESENTING HAITI, JAMS IN BROOKLYN, USA AND MASTER OF THE TURNTABLES .. DJ HARD HITTIN HARRY



Haiti-born DJ, Hard Hittin Harry (Harry D’Janite) is a Brooklyn, NY resident by way of Montreal, Canada and New Jersey. Currently residing in Brooklyn, DJ Hard Hittin Harry entertains his audience blending unique styles of the latest and classic Hiphop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Soca, Afrobeat, Haitian Kompas, Zouk, Kwaito, House, Techno, and much more. He is a MASTER at his craft and all those that experience his vibe at a party or special event will testify to this fact.


However Harry is a true HAITIAN at heart and he always includes the music of Haiti to celebrate his culture of Ayiti at his parties and special events. He speaks of the resilience within his people that burns through Harry’s work ethic as he delivers positive messages. He is constantly teaching and mentoring others to follow and never give up on their dreams. 


After attending and completing high school, Harry attended the Crown Business Institute/Announcer Training Studios where he obtained his FCC license and graduated to his first position in radio at WSOU, 89.5 FM - a Seton Hall University radio station in 1987. There, he produced a weekly radio show called "Quest," and trained high school students in broadcast radio. Following Seton Hall, his career segued into his next position at Jersey radio station WJDM, where he sold radio 



advertisements. Simultaneously, he developed and hosted "Midnite Expressions" at WNJR, in which he designated a portion of his segment to be a platform for other DJs to showcase their mixes. During HHH's involvement with radio, his DJ career kicked off throughout the local club circuit of New Jersey. His mentors were Kool DJ Red Alert, Grand Master Flash, Marly Marl and Mr. Magic. 

The landmark of Harry’s career was his involvement with The Fugees. He went to the "Booga Basement" (studio) where he was introduced to them through a friend after which, he became their DJ and toured with their first album project, "Blunted on Reality,"  He left The Fugees in 1994 and joined the Manhattan PR firm Double XXposure and became a publicist for 3 years there before starting his very own boutique firm Meridian Entertainment for 10 years.
Harry held residencies at numerous venues & spun for corporate events all over the NYC area including Hotel Gansevoort, Fashion Forty, Santos Partyhouse, 230 Fifth Penthouse, Highline Ballroom, Negril Village, Soco Bklyn, Diesel stores, Adidas, Niketown, Details Magazine, ASPCA, and many more. 


Harry has appeared on FOX 5 Good Day New York 3 times (more than any other DJ) and received a multitude of press including Details, GQ, New York Post. Recently Harry appeared on the cover of Metro New York on Tuesday February 16, 2016.

As co-founder of the Afrobeat/Tribal House music band THE EARTHMAN EXPERIENCE, Harry's band performed at venues such as Blue Note, SOB's, Bam Cafe, Le Poission Rouge, and many more. Visit www.facebook.com/earthmanexperience.

Harry currently hosts and produces a weekly show entitled HAITIAN ALL-STARZ on WBAI 99.5 FM. The show airs every Tuesday evening/early Wednesday morning at 12 MIDNIGHT. Harry also hosts and produces a LIVE Caribbean mixshow Global Island Vybez on DWILDMUSICRADIO.COM.

You can catch Harry spinning at his weekly residencies World Beat Night (Wednesdays) at Red Rooster (Harlem), Vodou Bar (every 2nd Sat) Bed-Vyne Wine Brew (every 4th Sat), and the world famous Apollo Theater for it’s monthly Apollo Music Café Music Series.

DJ Hard Hittin Harry is definitely one to watch in 2016.
