NOW HERE IS A BASS GUITARIST WITH A DIFFERENCE ... CHRISTIAN DE MESONES

Formerly the front man for the Groove Skool Band, which sold out shows at Blues Alley in D.C. and K2 Restaurant and Lounge in Woodbridge, Va.  The band made its debut at the 2006 Capital Jazz festival.

This past Christmas Christian booked the All-Stars at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club, marking  the first time de Mesones’ Big New York and the Smooth Jazz All-Stars has Sold out  in the D.C. area
since 2010 (with Groove Skool).

De Mesones was only 18-years-old when he graduated from the world-famous Bass Institute of Technology (now the Musician’s Institute) in Hollywood, Calif.  His studies included workshops with bass greats Louis Johnson, Ray Brown, Abraham Laboriel and guitar legends Pat Metheny, Tommy Tedesco and Pat Martino.

A resident of Lake Ridge, Va. since 2003, he teaches bass guitar at A2G Music.  While he was in “Groove Skool,” the band released the “Limited Edition” compact disc.   He created “Bass Symphony:  Celebrating the Gift of Music through the Spirit of Youth,” a non-profit event that featured middle and high school students performing original compositions.
Christian released his single; "Good Old Days" last summer and is on rotation on more than two dozen independent smooth jazz radio stations worldwide.

Be on the lookout for another single off the full length cd.
