Keith Gilchrist comes to you directly from Detroit, Michigan. He has an impressive and inspirational life journey of exciting and wonderful experiences. He is the perfect example of getting things done in a variety of career fields and utilizing those skills full circle to bring his community and passion for helping others.
He has worked in the clothing fashion industry and managed high-end clothing stores, such as Van Dyke’s Next Door Shop, Harry’s Big and Tall Shop, among a few others. He also is experienced in displays for window treatments, selling, and designing floor displays. He was an Ad Catalog Model in the local Detroit area the direction of Barbizon/Alston’s Modeling Agency and worked his way into the fashion networks of Atlanta by collaborating with other designers. Soon after this great experience he was able to start working hard line products from The Franklin Mint Galleries.
He was able to achieve these great skills by Fashion Institute of America where he became a Certified Interior Designer. He furthered his education at Wayne County Community College, and the University of Michigan where he got his degree as a Business Major.
He had a great time playing Semi-Pro Basketball with The Detroit Spirits for 3 years and later worked as a DJ spinning R&B/House music for two of the most sought after DJ groups in Detroit. (Dale Willis Org and Duncan Sounds of Detroit)
He decided to make some moves and landed in Atlanta on October 1984 and starting working for the State Of Georgia as a Health Service Tech II for a few years.
The music muse called him back into the music scene again and he began working heavily in the Jazz scene. He started selling Jazz CD’s and mixtapes, which led him into marketing and promoting jazz events across Atlanta. He created the Jazzman Music/Jazzman Network of Friends, and joined together with other promoters to form H.A.R.M.O.N.Y. Jazz Alliance of Atlanta, which promotes and markets some of the top venues, and jazz artist in the United States.
Jazzman Music/Jazzman Network of Friends, is currently managing a few elite Jazz Artists across the US, and the International markets.
