Saxophonist
Eddie Berg is a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/composer born and raised on Long
Island, New York. He is a graduate of Newfield high school in Selden, New York
where his music education was focused in classical and jazz performance. His
performance not only includes tenor, alto, soprano, and baritone saxophones,
but in addition he plays keyboards, percussion and EWI (electronic wind
instrument.) His music interest has been focused in traditional and
contemporary Jazz to R&B, Blues, Funk, and Inspirational Music.
Eddies
interest to music started at an early age when he discovered the sound of
saxophone as he listened to his dad spinning music from the 50s. The most
memorable song was Yakety Yak, by the Coasters, featuring King Curtis on tenor.
Eddie was later introduced to the music of Boots Randolph where he realized his
own creative ability to take vocal songs and turn them into his own style of
the original. Eddie was an active member of concert, jazz and marching bands
throughout school and performed in competitions outside of school as well. His
live performance included a spot with Randy and the Rainbows.
Eddie has
and continues to perform with local bands in addition to his solo project which
is currently under way based on his upcoming Cd. Eddie performs at many local
clubs, parties, and charity events. Eddie also gives back to the community such
as Music in schools and local senior centers. “It’s all about giving back and
keeping music alive in the hearts from young students to senior adults” – Eddie

Eddies work
also includes credit as a session musician and stands in for live performances.
His interaction with the audience brings the show to a new level. His multi
instrument talent can be seen when he performs, where he also contributes to
playing keys, percussion and EWI instruments in addition to his saxophones.
Eddie is
working on his second cd after the success of his debut CD, Generations From
The Heart". The new release is scheduled to be released in 2016. Today 8
of the ten tracks have been released to internet jazz radio stations in many
countries. His current songs of can be purchased on I-tunes and Cdbaby.com.
Eddies
passion for contemporary jazz and live performance, has been greatly influenced
by Richard Elliot and others such as, Grover Washington, Everette Harp, and
Euge Groove. His list goes on.
Eddie as an
endorsing artist exclusively plays his Sax Dakota Tenor, Alto, soprano and
Straight Alto saxophones at all performance venues and recordings. His
endorsements also includes Oleg and Vigilante Mouthpieces and Légère Reeds.
